Guest bedroom and office floor plan
Test a 3.6 m by 3 m room used for both work and overnight guests. Plan the normal working arrangement and the guest arrangement separately so the occasional bed does not become an afterthought.

How to approach this layout
The starter includes a single guest bed, work desk, chair, monitor and storage, so both uses are visible from the start. Compare it with a sofa bed or folding bed using that product’s fully open dimensions. Save two design options and record what has to move between them, including the desk chair and bedside surface.
What to measure and check
- Use both closed and fully open dimensions for a convertible bed.
- Check the route to the door in the guest arrangement.
- Allow access to storage without moving the desk or bed.
- Record which loose items must be relocated before a guest arrives.
Help with this room
A useful comparison to make
Compare the daily office layout with the overnight layout, recording every item that has to move.
From starting size to a plan you can discuss
- Open the furnished example and adjust its dimensions to match your measurements.
- Move the example door and window to their measured positions. Replace or resize the furniture to match the items you own or plan to buy.
- Compare your alternatives in plan and 3D. Save your local project file so you can return to it.
