How to approach this layout
Test the bed position against the entrance view and the usable wardrobe wall. Add bedside furniture and any dressing table before judging the remaining space. If you are considering an ensuite partition, draw it as a separate design option and review the resulting bedroom as carefully as the new bathroom.
What to measure and check
- Record the positions of sockets, radiators and light switches.
- Measure the storage needed with doors and drawers open.
- Compare the view from the entrance with the view from the bed.
- Check that furniture placement still allows comfortable use of window coverings.
Help with this room
A useful comparison to make
Compare a longer wardrobe run against a separate dressing area without changing the bed size.
From starting size to a plan you can discuss
- Open the furnished example and adjust its dimensions to match your measurements.
- Move the example door and window to their measured positions. Replace or resize the furniture to match the items you own or plan to buy.
- Compare your alternatives in plan and 3D. Save your local project file so you can return to it.
